Ruthann T. Walsh- Ruthann has served as a consultant to numerous  businesses, industries, community agencies and organizations for more than 35 years.  She has developed training materials and hiring systems, created and obtained funding for workforce development programs, and marketed, implemented, and managed programs that focus on skilling up individuals and the workforce.

Impact Training Corporation is a workforce development company based in Savannah, GA whose goal is to provide workers and trainees with knowledge, skills, and abilities that assist them in becoming high-performing, self-reliant individuals who are an asset to any organization.


Impact Training principals, Ruthann Walsh and Jorie Philippi, partnered in 1993 to found a corporation that develops customized  hiring systems, training programs, and training materials with a focus on entry-level workers. From our initial efforts in the Savannah, GA area we have grown to an organization serving clients across the United States, in Canada, and in Australia.


The primary aims of any training program are to develop long-term retention of what is taught, or "deep learning", and to enable transfer of what is learned in the classroom to the targeted  areas of implementation. To accomplish these goals, Impact Training focuses training objectives and custom-designed materials on an understanding of the critical thinking strategies used by competent workers during their performance of critical job tasks; Impact Training also incorporates into training the situations and materials typically used on the job in order to facilitate transfer of learning. Measurable improvements of both personal abilities and job performance are commonly the results of our training, training workbooks and materials.

  We're excited to announce that Donald Sipp is the new owner of  Impact Training assets! Donald has been working in healthcare for more than 20 years and has been a Transport Manager, Environmental Services Manager, Food Services/Nutrition Manager, college instructor, and healthcare consultant. Jorie W. Philippi- Jorie has served as a consultant to major companies across the United States, Federal and State government agencies, and the branches of the US military as a developer of  training and performance improvement programs for more than 30 years. She has extensive experience in job analysis, curriculum design and delivery, workplace testing, and training evaluation techniques.
